Free XML/XSLT Tools

We will do some hands-on XML/XSLT work. The Notepad can help with the editing work, but a better XML/XSLT editor may be more helpful.

I posted some free tools here:

If you know some other free and better ones, let us know.

  1. There are other visual mapping tools there (not free). I will update the blog to include BizTalk, Style Studio and MapForce.

But here is an interesting blog on why we cannot rely on such visual tools (the same as many other visual editors):

  2. The content presented in http://rogue-technology.com/blog/?p=459 is very true.

Even when I was trying to use Stylus Studio interface for mapping. It troubled me a lot and ate away all my time. And also after all files are generated, I observed that we cant rename them.If we rename them, the mapping and linking between the files is lost.

So I generated report in Stylus Studio and generated the basic code of XSLT and changed the generated code according to my requirement in Dreamweaver or visual studio
